After our adventures in Rome, we enjoyed exploring the much smaller city of Florence and some countryside. The first day in Florence we roamed the streets around San Marco, Duomo and Santa Croce (churches) and did some leather shopping in the seemingly never ending markets. For our second day, we decided it was time to get out of the city so we took a bike tour through the Tuscan countryside. We rode a total of 15 miles to a 17th century villa that makes their own wine and olive oil. Since the majority of the ride there was uphill, we were exhausted by the time we arrived at the villa. Unfortunately, a storm rolled in as we arrived so we didn't get to cool off in the pool but the timing was perfect for us to enjoy our homemade traditional tuscan lunch made especially for us in the villa. After lunch we enjoyed a tour of the winery and a lesson on how to make olive oil.

did you do accidental tourist? that's what we did, and it sounds exactly the same!
We went on Per's Bike Tours but we looked at bunch of them and there were a ton that did very similiar trips! The tour was great.
