Thanksgiving

We celebrated our 2nd Thanksgiving in Athens on Saturday the 29th of November.

Our landlord Panos (middle) and our friends from work Kostas and Daiva joined us for dinner. Once again we were able to get a fresh turkey from our local butcher. This time we knew what size to ask for. Our 7 kilo (15 lbs) turkey fit much better in our oven than our 9 kilo (20 lbs) turkey last year.

Meredith perfected her gravy this year. This was the first time that our Greek friend Kostas had tried gravy. He liked it so much he had 4 helpings.

Panos brought some of his homemade wine that has been aging since 1998. We filtered the wine and let it breathe for a couple of hours before having it with dinner. The wine was wonderful and went very well with our Thanksgiving dinner.

After dinner all of our guests continued our tradition of writing what we're thankful for on our table cloth.
