Corfu

Last Friday (June 19th) we (including Chris) met Mom and Dad P at the Athens airport to fly to Corfu for 8 days of relaxing! We rented a "large" car at the airport, loaded our six bags in the tiny trunk and on the roof and headed off to our "villa" at Kalami bay in the north east corner of the island. We had some cool and rainy mornings and nights but the sun came out enough for us all to get some beach time. Chris, Rich and Meredith enjoyed 7 dives over 3 days and Mom and Dad P enjoyed exploring small secluded beaches. We all met up every afternoon for a dip in our private pool and a snack of tzaziki, potates and a Mythos beer. At night we enjoyed some delicious fresh grilled fish, octopus, muscles, squid and of course, more tzaziki! At the end of our 8 days Mom and Dad P headed to their week vacation in the Champagne region of France and Chris headed back to Roanoke to find a dive center.

We stopped on the way back from the beach to check out the view over the north part of the island.

In the afternoon/evening Chris and Meredith enjoyed a competitive game of backgammon on our porch overlooking Kalami bay.

We enjoyed some beautiful blue/green water while in Corfu
