Now that we both are certified as open water divers, we decided to spend three of our days on Corfu diving in the clear blue/green waters. Chris was up for the challenge and he was able to earn his certification in only three days. He had to do some homework and reading but it was worth it as the instructor let Chris dive with us during his training. We did a total of seven dives over three days including two cave dives, one wreck dive and one night dive.

We came across this eel on a reef dive!

ahhh...side by side starfish.

On our night dive Chris found this octopus hanging out on the reef. He was blue when Chris saw him but he tried to blend in with the rocks by the time the dive master snapped this photo. We saw two others during our dives, one of which was protecting its eggs.

Shortly after leaving the octopus we came across this squid. You can see how the squid illuminated his torso. As we approached, the squid scurried away leaving a cloud of ink.

Seeing the light come through the hole in the roof of a cave was stunning.

We had to take turns to make it through the cave entrance.

On our deepest dive of the week (30 meters) we visited this ship wreck. Chris gives us the "OK" sign.

After our seven dives Chris took his final exam and passed with flying colors. Our dive master / instructor Antonios did an excellent job.
